With summer literally around the corner and temperatures starting to rise, you might be searching online for water parks in Perth to keep you and the family cool this summer.
So, I’ve put together a list of the best water parks in Perth, plus aquatic centres (often much more cost effective!) and water playgrounds where you and the kids can keep cool and have heaps of fun when the temps start to soar in WA!
Water Parks in Perth
Outback Splash
Open from September to April, at Outback Splash you can enjoy waterslides, resort-style attractions, mini golf, mazes, and sensory play activities. From high-speed slides to relaxing water features, there’s something for everyone here.
Ideally located for those in the northern suburbs, you can easily spend a whole day at Outback Splash, but get there early on a hot day as the queues will be long and parking overflowing onto the road!
Tickets can be booked online for a 5% discount vs buying at the door, and online prices start from $53.50 for adults and kids age 14+ and $44.50 for kids aged 4-13, with a family pass being $185. Not a cheap day out but all attractions are included once you’re in.
Adventure World
Less than 30 minutes from Fremantle, Adventure World is Perth’s best known theme park and water park. There’s one entry free and that gives you free access to all rides, attractions and waterslides in the park.
Usually open from September to April, it’s one of the most popular water parks in Perth. If you plan a visit, know you’ll be here pretty much all day!
No matter how brave you are, there are all levels of rides from the scary Abyss rollercoaster and Kraken water slide for adrenaline junkies, to the leisurely Rocky Mountain rapids and lagoon pool for those looking for a more relaxing time.
Dragon’s Kingdom and Kingdom Falls offers heaps of fun rides and activities for the littler ones. There is also a go karting track so remember to pack some enclosed shoes to take part in that.
My favourite part of was Water Mountain with its mat slides, Rocky Mountain Rapids and the Tunnel of Terror which was not as terrifying as I thought it would be!
We splashed out (excuse the pun) and got fast passes when we went, which meant you got to skip the ‘regular’ queue and go into the fast pass queue for most rides unlimited times. Well worth it if you have a favourite ride or two you keep going back to.
There are lots of food outlets but food is average and expensive so if you can be bothered, I’d take a picnic to keep you going all day without spending even more money.
Island Aqua Park Hillary’s
Island Aqua Park in Hillary’s runs for the summer season and offers the longest single aqua park session in Perth. For $30 per person, you get around 85 minutes of fun on the aqua park.
Tickets are for children aged 6-16 only though – parents can buy a supervisor ticket for children aged under 10 but can’t participate.
The park is only open during the summer months, so December to February, daily from 9am to 7pm, and all tickets must be prebooked online.
Perth Aqua Park
Located at Perth Wake Park in Baldivis, Perth Aqua Park is a huge floating inflatable fun park. It has over 100 different inter connected obstacles. Race your friends down the 3-lane course; launch yourself down the slides or challenge yourself on the climbing walls.
Booking in advance is highly recommended as sessions often sell out. Sessions are 50 minutes long and start on the hour. The minimum age is 6 years old for the main area, but there is a kid’s area for those aged 2-8 who want to have fun while older siblings are entertained on the main park inflatables. They’re open from November to April.
