Boktown Perth 2018

After 3 consecutive years of sell-out events, Boktown Perth is back in 2018!

If you want to watch the Springboks take on the Wallabies on Saturday 8 September, surrounded by your fellow Bok supporters, this is going to be the place to be!

It’s the game that everyone looks forward to each year, and no matter what the score is, it’s always a great evening when you spend it with South Africans In Perth!

Held at The Game Sports Bar in Northbridge, doors will be opening at 12 pm and the game will kick off at 6 pm Perth time.

They’ve got the biggest HD screens in Perth so if your TV isn’t up to the job, there is no better place in Perth to watch the Boks.

There isn’t just rugby to keep you entertained though. As usual, the venue will be filled with all the South African goodies you would want.

Food-wise, there’ll be plenty of biltong and boerie rolls for everyone, plus famous Durban bunny chows, biriyani, classic Portuguese/South African prego rolls, sosaties, chips, and braai-broodjies – lekker!

Plus some treats for those with a sweet tooth – milk tart and koeksisters anyone?

The food vendors include The Boerie Boys, Mufasa Biltong and a new South African food truck, Curry & A Quarter Loaf.

Drinks will be supplied by Perth’s favourite bottleshop – Copper & Oak.

They’ll include all your favourites – Castle Lager, Windhoek, Castle Light, Klippies & Coke, Cane & Creme Soda, Fanta Grape and of course, no Boktown is complete without Springbok shots. Every adult ticket includes a free drink too!

Every year, Boktown partners with a charity and this year it’s Oxfam. As it’s a family-friendly event, they’ll be doing face painting on the day for the kids – and the adults too!

After the game, the party isn’t over – DJ Armand and Mike De Wet take over with all the classic South African tunes you can think of – Nkalakatha, Kaptein, Africa, Impi, and more.

The Game Sports Bar is on Aberdeen street and is easily reached from Perth train station, it’s just a 5-minute walk so leave the car at home and come and enjoy yourself without having to worry about how to get home.

If you have a designated driver in your group, the best place to park is the CPP car park under the Perth Cultural Centre or the multi-storey Roe Street car park.

Get your Boktown Perth 2018 tickets online now before they’re all gone – this event does sell out before the day so don’t head along without a ticket as you may be disappointed when you arrive.

You can buy your tickets at Moshtix. Tickets are $10 for kids, $15 for adults and $30 for VIP tickets (plus booking fees).

There is a second Boktown Perth event on 15 September as well, where you can see the Boks take on the mighty All Blacks – hopefully the score isn’t as abysmal as it was last year! Doors open at 12pm and the game kicks off at 3:30pm.
