It’s no secret that we love Chapters Bistro in our house. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll no doubt have noticed our regular visits for Sunday roasts, Wednesday steak nights, and just about any other excuse to head there to enjoy a relaxed vibe and some amazing food.
So, you can imagine my excitement when I found out they were opening a new sister restaurant in late 2024.
Nestled in the heart of Two Rocks, Chapters Boathouse brings a sophisticated modern European bistro experience to Perth’s northern coastline. Since its opening just before Christmas in 2024, this culinary gem has quickly become a favourite among locals and visitors alike, offering a delightful fusion of classic French-inspired dishes and contemporary European cuisine.
A Culinary Journey Inspired by Tradition
Owners Lesley and Neil Herbert, renowned for their successful venture, Chapters Bistro in Currambine, have expanded their passion for exceptional dining to the northern suburb of Two Rocks.
Their dedication to creating memorable food experiences is evident in every aspect of Chapters Boathouse, from the thoughtfully curated menu to the warm and inviting ambiance.
The menu showcases a selection of signature dishes that have garnered acclaim, including:
- Twice Baked Goat’s Cheese Soufflé: A light and airy soufflé that perfectly balances the rich flavours of goat’s cheese, offering a delightful start to your meal.
- Chicken Liver Parfait: Crafted from a cherished family recipe passed down through three generations, this decadent pâté is served with crisp melba toasts, providing a harmonious blend of textures and flavours.
- Sunday Roast: A weekly tradition at Chapters Boathouse, the Sunday Roast features crispy duck fat roast potatoes, sweet honey-glazed carrots, seasonal greens, a fluffy Yorkshire pudding, and a generous serving of rich, proper gravy.
A Menu Designed for Every Palate
Chapters Boathouse caters to diverse tastes with a variety of small, large, and sharing plates, encouraging a communal dining experience.
The breakfast menu, available from Wednesday to Sunday, offers a range of options priced between $8.50 for a proper British bacon butty to $24 for their Boathouse Full English breakfast, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

We honestly feel like part of the Chapters family, having dined here since it opened in 2018 (and you can read my super old blog from back then here to find out where our love affair with Chapters began!).
We are always welcomed by name, even when we turn up without a booking on steak night (thanks Neil!). And Neil always finds the time to come over for a chat and a catch up, even when they are super busy. I’ve said so many times that Chapters is our happy place when it comes to dining out – we always have a great meal, fab service and leave with a full tummy and big smile.

- Monday & Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 8am – 3:30pm & 5pm – 7pm

- Sunday: 8am – 5:45pm
