The Ultimate List Of South African Shops In Perth

The Ultimate List Of South African Shops In Perth - Proudly South African In Perth

We’re so spoilt as South Africans in Perth. Not only do we get to live in this beautiful state with stunning scenery, sandy white beaches, and heaps to do, but we’ve got a ridiculous amount of South African shops too!

Even though many supermarkets have a small South African foods section, there’s probably a South African shop closer than you think.

It’s always good to support your local South African shops. The prices aren’t usually much different from the supermarkets, and these are someone’s livelihood, so you’re supporting the local economy and helping put food on someone else’s table when you choose to shop at one of the many South African shops in Perth.

I’ve put together the ultimate list of South African shops in Perth and beyond. If you know of any others, let me know in the comments so I can keep this list up to date! This list is in no particular order and was last updated in September 2023.

Bonus South African Shops In Perth To Check Out

Copper & Oak

For all your South African booze needs in Perth, head to Copper & Oak. You can find them in Tuart Hill and be guaranteed to find the most helpful and knowledgeable guys behind the counter, brothers Nelio and Jose.

They’ve recently started importing South African wines directly from the wineries, which means their selection is about to get a whole load better (and it was already amazing!). They stock my favourite too – Beyerskloof Pinotage (we may have consumed a fair amount of this during our stay at the amazing Ndaka Safari Lodge!).

They also ship across Australia so you can order online no matter where in Australia you live.

The 2 Tarts

While not strictly a shop as they don’t have a physical address, The 2 Tarts are as close as we’ve got to a tuisnywerhuid in Perth. Charlene and Carina bake the most amazing rusks, milk tart, koeksisters, crunchies, fudge and more!

You can place an order and collect from their bases in Jindalee or Tapping.

Find them online at: https://www.facebook.com/the2tarts/

Their website is under construction but their Facebook page is active with the latest products available and deals on.

    Hi Reeva,
Whilst looking for koeksisters (?) Supplier I found your blog. Please check the links as about half said the web page doesn’t exist. One cafe as closed after a fire, but I can’t see the others including the village hut cafe FB page.

Would you kindly put Leopard Lodge on your list too?
It has an African feel and African food – a real taste of Africa.
