As South Africans, for many of us rugby is in our blood. With Super Rugby on the calendar each year I always check the fixtures to see when South African teams will be playing in Perth throughout the season.
On Sunday 9 April the Road Safety Western Force will be taking on the Southern Kings, a South African team from the Eastern Cape which rejoined Super Rugby last year.
The match kicks off at 14:05 but as it’s family day, the gates will open at 12:35 with a curtain raiser between some junior rugby clubs.
To encourage attendance for their family day, for every adult Bronze or Blue Crew ticket you can bring 3 juniors for free. You do need to buy your tickets online and select your free junior tickets at time of purchase – these tickets won’t be available to buy on the door.
The first 1000 juniors through the gates will also receive a free gift courtesy of the Road Safety Western Force (available from gates 1, 3 and 4). There will be lots of free activities for the kids too – stop by the gate 1 precinct to check out the scrum machine, pass the ball, giveaway and the Mix 94.5 Road Runners. In the junior zone there will be face painting, a balloon artist and opportunities to meet some of the Western Force players.
If you want to get the chance to have a kick about on the field after the match, bring your rugby ball with and you’ll be allowed on the field to have a run around!
You’ll also get free transport on the Transperth network with your match day ticket for 3 hours before the event and 3 hours after it. Claisebrook train station is less than 400m from the NIB Stadium so leave the car at home and save on petrol and parking fees.
Supporting the Force is crucial if we want to continue to have Super Rugby hosted in Perth so head down on Sunday and keep Super Rugby in Perth! Find all the match day information you need and head over to Ticketmaster to buy your tickets now.
I’ll also be giving away a family pass so head over to my Facebook page to win some tickets!
*Disclosure: I received free tickets to this event. I was not financially compensated for this post.
