It seems that lately we’ve been very spoilt with South African acts gracing our shores from The 3 South Africans at the Fringe Festival last year to Trevor Noah last October, Radio Raps at Oor Die Water and Kevin Fraser in March this year.
Now it’s the turn of some of South Africa’s finest comedians at the Perth Comedy Festival in what looks like a spectacular night of comedy with the South African Comedy Allstars!
Loyiso Gola’s taboo-busting comedy has made him a mega star in South Africa. A regular correspondent on ABC’s The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, Loyiso was presented with the 2014 South African Comics’ Choice Award.
“South Africa’s First Lady of Comedy” Tumi Morake has wowed audiences around the globe with her her edgy and unpredictable brand of comedy.
The winner of the first ever “Stand Up Of The Year Award” at the South African Comedy Awards, John Vlismas‘s intelligent and insightful no-holds-barred material makes him a firm favourite at home and abroad. I remember seeing him back in my university days and he is just hilarious – I can’t wait to see him live in Perth!
The tremendously charming Tats Nkonzo has been named “One of the best things to happen to South African comedy.” The Star. The Award winning and Emmy nominated comedian, brings his arsenal of humour, intellect and a guitar to Perth!
